Tessent products deploy three kinds of artificial intelligence to improve our automation software

The Tessent products include the use of proven AI methods and machine learning technologies throughout the product family. The Tessent approach is to solve problems as much as possible algorithmically, freeing designers to focus on their high-value engineering skills. Siemens EDA design tools embed three types of AI: Adaptive, additive, and assistive. Adaptive AI improves existing functionality by leveraging contextual information. Additive AI enables new functionality by using temporal information. Assistive AI optimizes and extends the Tessent products by leveraging extrapolated knowledge.

This paper summarizes the use of AI in the Tessent family of products, including capabilities available today and ongoing work to further embed AI in our automation software.
