PDK Design Enablement – Beyond Xpedition Templates

Templates are the basic building block for starting new designs in Xpedition. Templates contain all the objects and design rules to start a new design.

In this presentation, I will address two problems customers have with Templates. How do I update the objects and design rules after the Template has been applied and how do I start a new design without a Template using external data. The PDK_3DHI (Package Design Kit for 3D Heterogeneous Interconnects) was originally created for Foundries, OSAT’s and Technology Vendors to deliver and update design objects and rules to their customers during the life of the design. Enterprise PCB customers can also use this flow to deliver updated design objects and rules to their internal users.
