Connected by Design – Siemens UK&I webinar series

One portfolio. One story. Twelve conversations worth your time.

Connected by Design is Siemens Digital Industries UK&I's new monthly webinar series, running from October 2026 through September 2027, built around the challenges you're actually facing: cybersecurity, AI, legacy equipment, IT/OT convergence, and more.
Each session brings our local experts together with use cases and real-life examples to offer solutions to challenges impacting discrete and process industries in the UK and Ireland.
No matter whether you build the machines, integrate them, or run them every day, this series aims to keep you up to date with the latest innovation and ways to make your operations more efficient.

Upcoming webinars

One Portfolio, Every Scale - 27 October, 10am
Some engineers still believe standardisation is a constraint, until it's the reason you can scale from one machine to an entire site without starting from scratch. Join us to learn how Siemens' portfolio works as one system, not a shelf of separate products. From controllers and drives, to instrumentation and software, discover how our offering enables easy design, integration, and maintenance. This session is built for OEMs, system integrators, and end users who are ready to stop re-engineering every time they want to scale their operations.

Industrial Cybersecurity Simplified - 24 November, 10am
The Cyber Resilience Act is coming, and it changes what you can sell and how you operate from 2027, impacting everyone in the UK and Ireland. In this session we cut through the acronyms and legislation changes to show you exactly what's changing, what it means for your business, and how Siemens can help you get ahead to make sure you remain compliant.

TIA Portal: What's new in V21.1? - 8 December, 10am
Release notes tell you what changed. We'll tell you what it actually means for your engineering workflow.
Join us for a practical walkthrough of TIA Portal V21.1, built for the engineers and integrators who'll actually be using it.
Never used TIA Portal? Don't worry, this session is suitable for beginners and experienced engineers alike, guiding you through the world of Totally Integrated Automation and the basics of TIA Portal.

AI in Automation Part One: Efficient Engineering - 26 January, 10 am
Forget the AI hype, and discover what actually changes at your engineering desk. In this session, we look at how standardisation sets automation for AI, and introduce tools such as Eigen Engineering Agent to demonstrate the power of Artificial Intelligence when built into the tools you already use today.
Join this session to find out how you can improve your processes, increase efficiency, and bridge the skill gap in your workforce.

AI in Automation Part Two: Power of Data - 23 February, 10am
Your SCADA and field instruments are already collecting the data AI needs - the question is what you do with it. This session shows how data from the field powers predictive maintenance, process optimisation, and smarter decisions - creating real impact and improving production lines. Join to learn how to make the most of your data using AI tools made for automation.

Designed to Last: Changing the Modernisation Mindset - 30 March, 10am
With legacy hardware, end-of-life software, and compliance deadlines closing in, modernisation can feel overwhelming - but it doesn't have to be. In this session, we look at what 'designed to last' really means across our portfolio, and offer practical solutions to modernising without a shutdown, a forklift upgrade, or having to start your automation strategy over.

Whether you're working on initial engineering designs, or tackling a brownfield plant full of outdated equipment, this session explores how you can be modernisation-ready today, and in the future.
More webinars to be announced soon.
