This presentation introduces the concept of last shift cycle simulation in ATPG. Last shift cycle simulation evaluates the last n shift cycles before capture. This helps the loadable non-scan cells to be initialized with a known value instead of Xs. This presentation shares the benefits seen in test coverage and pattern count for ATPG in large complex designs.
