Modeling free-surface mass transfer in single-use bioreactors

Single-use bioreactors are extensively used for the clinical and commercial production of biologics. In this work, Bristol Myers Squibb works with Simcenter M-Star to present a systematic investigation into free surface mass transfer and cell growth in high turndown single-use bioreactors. The results suggest an approach which potentially simplifies preculture operations.
