10-point plan industry of the future

The future of German industry is being decided now

The German flag flying in front of the Reichstag building in Berlin, symbolizing German government and administration. The glass dome of the Reichstag is visible in the background against a partly cloudy sky.

German industry currently still accounts for 20 percent of GDP1. It is therefore a cornerstone of our prosperity. However, the competitiveness of the industry is under massive pressure in many sectors. Germanys historically evolved economic model needs to be fundamentally updated. To achieve this, the next government must resolutely implement structural reforms and create internationally competitive conditions for Germany as an industrial location – by reducing bureaucracy, modernizing the public infrastructure and providing targeted incentives for private investment and innovation.
