Safety in power supply for the chemical industry

SIVACON S8plus arc fault protection

On-demand webinar

For electrical engineers, operators, maintenance personnel, and planners in the chemical industry.

Low-voltage switchboards in the chemical industry encounter a variety of extensive demands and external influences. A significant, yet very rare, challenge these systems may encounter is an arc fault. While these instances are uncommon, the repercussions of such faults can be substantial. This webinar is designed to explore the occurrence, impact, and limitations associated with arc faults in low-voltage switchboards. Our objective is to prioritize the safety of personnel and assets, while concurrently striving to reduce downtime and associated outage costs.

Our technical experts, Andreas Stöcker and Martin Sichting, are excited to guide you through this captivating topic, with Paresh Todkari serving as the moderator for the webinar.

Agenda

  • Explore the trends and power supply challenges in the chemical industry.
  • Learn about the origin and effects of arc faults in low-voltage switchboards.
  • Examine insights from the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on this matter.
