The "Ctrl-Energy" function was introduced in SINUMERIK back in 2012: Since then, the key combination Ctrl-E has provided standardized access to energy-saving functions of SINUMERIK Operate and the machine tool. The Ctrl-E Checklist for all interested machine users

We would like to share our findings bundled in the checklist with you. We have concentrated purely on the electrical part. Certainly, mechanical engineering aspects are also reflected in the electrical energy consumption, for example in the acceleration of the machine masses. The competence for this lies with the machine manufacturers, but the Ctrl-E checklist provides basic suggestions for concrete discussion also about constructive measures for energy saving.
