Jenny Østenstad – Analytical Engineer and Project Manager, Hystar
applies cell- and stack-level modeling to optimize electrolyser operation and guide component research. Holding a Master’s in Applied Physics and Mathematics (2023) from NTNU, her thesis explored advanced PEM electrolyzer modeling. Jenny’s contributions include electrolyzer development, experimental testing, and validating Hystar’s digital twin using gPROMS. Now, as Project Manager for Hystar’s new EU-backed GW Factory, set to open in 2027, she drives automated production to meet global hydrogen and climate goals. Linkedin

Dr. Knut Ringstad – Senior Analytical Engineer, Hystar
excels in advancing PEM electrolyzer technology for green hydrogen production. With a Master's (2018) and Ph.D. (2023) from NTNU, his expertise lies in computational fluid dynamics, machine learning, and sustainable design. Joining Hystar in 2021, he has contributed to the development of efficient electrolyzer systems using modeling tools like CFD and gPROMS. His work integrates digital twins, control systems, and virtual commissioning, bridging component-level insights with system performance to scale affordable green hydrogen solutions. Linkedin
