In this module, you will gain a concise overview of key sustainability approaches in logistics, transport and warehousing. The session will introduce the main levers for reducing logistics-related emissions, including the distinction between avoidance, reduction, and compensation, as well as the role of credible emission accounting and chain of custody models. A particular focus will be placed on sustainable technologies for logistics and biofuels, including their potential applications and future relevance. In addition, this session focuses on key levers and optimization potential for a more sustainable warehouse network. It outlines both “what” and “how” to create real impact and drive sustainability in warehousing.

The module will connect these concepts with selected practical examples, helping you identify realistic starting points for making logistics activities more sustainable.
