SIMARIS curves - basic handling

Webinar | May 20, 2026 | 9 a.m. (CEST)

This free webinar featuring SIMARIS curves, a free software tool from the SIMARIS Suite by Siemens, gives you an introduction on how to graphically display and analyze characteristic curves of protective devices and fuses.

SIMARIS curves developed primarily for electrical planners and engineers in the field of electrical power distribution. You learn to use the tool for graphically display and analyze characteristic curves of protective devices and fuses. These include, for example, tripping characteristics, passing current and passing energy characteristics, and the associated tolerance bands. The tool allows parameter settings of the protective devices to be simulated in order to better assess their behavior in the event of a fault (e.g., overload or short circuit). The selected curves and settings will be visualized, saved, and used for project documentation.

Content

  • Visualization of tripping and passing characteristics with tolerance bands
  • Simulation of device settings and their influence on characteristics
  • Comparison of multiple protective devices in the same diagram
  • Saving favorites and creating project-specific curve evaluations
  • Tips and tricks
