Understanding Customer Avoided Emissions

This document outlines Siemens’ cumulative target for CAEs. It describes the key levers that help achieve CAEs and showcases case studies on how Siemens supports its customers in avoiding emissions (Chapter 2). It explains Siemens’ methodology and overarching guidelines for calcu lating CAEs and lists the specific calculation steps (Chapter 3). Finally, the paper provides an outlook of our plans to further develop CAE reporting (Chapter 4) and includes a detailed list and methodology description of Siemens offerings for which CAEs are quantified (Chapter 5)
