EDX를 사용한 PCB 설계 배포 및 보관
설계를 배포하고 보관하는 것은 제품 개발 프로세스의 마지막 단계입니다. 배포된 데이터는 제품을 제조하고 조립하는 데 사용되는 한편, 보관된 데이터는 이후 개정 버전에서 사용하기 위해 캡처해 두거나 새로운 설계의 시작 지점으로 사용하기도 합니다. 두 가지 작업 모두 아무리 강조해도 지나치지 않을 만큼 중요한 일입니다.
이 글에서는 Enterprise Data eXchange(EDX) 형식을 두 가지 작업에 모두 적용하여 비용이 많이 드는 리스핀(respin)을 방지하고 출시 기간을 단축하는 법을 소개합니다.

What is EDX?

EDX is a data exchange format that allows design teams to capture PCB-related Intellectual Property in a standard representation to facilitate the safe and secure sharing of data across the enterprise and with third parties.

EDX is a robust standard format for the exchange of library, component, and design data between the design authoring system and any consumer of the data.

What does EDX do?

EDX facilitates the sharing of PCB IP across the enterprise, protects the shared data throughout its life cycle, ensures that remote sites and third parties can receive data with confidence, and enables data complexities to be managed in a way that protects the integrity of native data.

By representing data in a consistent format, independent of any of the tools creating it or reading it, version-independent interfaces can be established. That means that, even as design tools continue to advance, the EDX structure remains consistent. It is only the details within the native files themselves that change – not the interfaces sharing the data.
