Goethe University Frankfurt, one of the largest universities in Germany, is committed to making consistent progress towards sustainability in the coming years. In the State of Hessen, universities account for almost half of the carbon emissions of the State’s government facilities. The energy modernization of the Biocenter on the Riedberg campus of Goethe University Frankfurt shows how existing buildings can be successfully upgraded to become more sustainable.
