Optimizing large-scale buffer preparation with CFD

This study by Sartorius shows how computational fluid dynamics (CFD) can optimize buffer preparation in large-scale bioprocessing. Using the Flexsafe® Pro Mixer with M-Star CFD, hydrodynamics and solute dissolution are modeled to assess mixing performance and guide scalable operation. Simulation results are validated against pH and conductivity data, demonstrating rapid, uniform mixing, reproducible buffer preparation, and reduced development time, cost, and risk.
