The new S7-1200 G2: Compact and powerful with built-in Motion Control

In this webinar, we present the new S7-1200 G2 and its many applications. It's compact and powerful, designed to be space-saving while delivering high performance. It features significantly more memory and faster cycle times, and Technology and Motion Control are built in as standard, while Safety can be selected as an integrated functionality. In addition, the S7-1200 G2 always comes with PROFINET built in.

During the webinar, we'll dive into the various application areas for Motion Control and the S7-1200 G2 and show how Safety is an integrated part. We'll walk through several practical examples, including the use of encoders via the internal High Speed Counters and a "Flying Saw" solution, as well as show a video on Near Field Communication (NFC) that demonstrates practical applications. You'll also gain insight into how V20 Basic covers PLC, Motion Control, WinCC Classic, WinCC Unified Basic, and now also Safety.

In addition, we'll present the new features and benefits of the S200 and S210, as well as the new migration tools — including the add-in for TIA Portal and TIA Selection Tool Cloud with V20. Since the S7-1200 G2 has become more harmonized with the S7-1500, projects started on an S7-1200 can always be continued on an S7-1500 system. If a Technology CPU (T-CPU) is selected, you get even more capabilities.
