Daimler validates Siemens’ Engine CFD Solution

Reading time: 28 minutes

Engine CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation is a key technology in future digital powertrain development. Together with Siemens, the research department of Daimler AG conducted a study on transient Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) simulation of gas exchange in an optically accessible gasoline direct injection engine to assess the capabilities of the Siemens’ solution.
