Debug P2P results using resistance and current density data

Point-to-point resistance and current density simulation debugging is often time-consuming and resource-intensive. In real world designs, nets are very complex, and identifying possible high resistance areas can be a significant challenge. Breaking a path into smaller segments and providing individual resistor body data (CD and resistance) for these segments helps point designers in the right direction for layout adjustments. The Calibre PERC logic-driven-layout P2P debug flow gives designers more data about these segments without re-running a full Calibre PERC simulation on the full design.

Fast P2P resistance and current density debugging with Calibre PERC and Calibre RVE

P2P resistance and CD simulations are critical elements in the IC reliability verification process flow. Using the Calibre RVE results viewer in conjunction with the Calibre PERC LDL P2P debug flow provides designers with a fast, effective way to debug Calibre PERC P2P simulation results. Additional debugging data provided by the P2P debug run can be used with Calibre RVE highlighting and debug functionality to quickly find potential problem areas in the interconnect. With a detailed visual analysis of the path layout, designers can more quickly and accurately identify, correct, and verify P2P violations in their IC layouts.
