This presentation details a custom design flow for the verification of 3D-stacked SPAD image sensors using Siemens Questa, Symphony, and SDE. We show a multi-modal verification approach in two steps. The first step leverages digital-oriented checks relying on the tool's netlisting capabilities. The second step uses custom python scripting to intelligently reduce the pixel array complexity enabling manageable run times of pure mix-signal Symphony verification.
The result is a verification framework tailored for the complexities of a 3D-stacked architecture.
