NASA/JPL Mars Curiosity Rover Video

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory ran hundreds of simulations to plan for multiple conditions – some impossible to replicate on Earth. The large teams of scientists and engineers across the country worked together to digitally design, test, assemble, and simulate the entire Mars rover before a physical prototype was created. Based on what it learned in the development and deployment of Curiosity, NASA is preparing for its next mission to Mars. Siemens is honored that NASA selected our product lifecycle management software as an integral part of getting Curiosity from design to simulation and through virtual assembly to final prototyping. And we are proud that NASA will continue to use Siemens’ software as is prepares for Mars 2020.
