How-to run Calibre LVS with same runsets in Cadence Virtuoso and Synopsys Custom Compiler

Learn how to use Calibre LVS as example to setup the environment so you can run Calibre with same runsets in both Cadence Virtuoso and Synopsys Custom Compiler.

A Calibre Interactive runset file retains previously-selected Calibre Interactive options so users can load this file and use the same settings to run Calibre from the Calibre Interactive GUI in the future. The Calibre Interactive Runset File environment variable enables the Calibre Interactive interface to automatically load the desired runset when launching a Calibre run from a design tool (like Cadence Virtuoso) or the Calibre DESIGNrev chip-finishing platform. However, while the Synopsys Custom Compiler tool supports Calibre Interactive integration, it does not currently support the Calibre Interactive Runset File environment variable. In this video, we use a Calibre LVS run as an example to explain how to set up the environment so you can run Calibre with the same runset in both Cadence Virtuoso and Synopsys Custom Compiler.
