PROLIM India offers extensive training to support its long-term relationships. It created a team of Siemens-certified coaches to provide no-cost, in-depth training to use Teamcenter and NX. Customers can request this training as part of their initial implementation or later in the process as needed. Using Teamcenter to streamline data retrieval

One of PROLIM India’s equipment manufacturer customers, a tractor manufacturer, was having trouble finding data quickly and needed help with its information silos. It lacked secure data transfer methods and relied heavily on face-to-face collaboration to share information between teams. Additionally, poorly aligned bill-of-materials (BOMs) throughout the production process resulted in low product accuracy, requiring extensive rework.

The company evaluated various PLM solutions to streamline its data management and found that using Teamcenter was the optimal solution and opportunity for its current needs and future growth. It sought a partner with a strong history of successful Teamcenter implementations and post-implementation technical support. The company decided PROLIM India was in the best position to meet its requirements.

PROLIM India began implementing Teamcenter by migrating all product information into a centralized network shared between departments, eliminating the company’s information silos. PROLIM India also developed a tool that enabled the customer to export BOMs seamlessly from engineering to manufacturing, reducing the need for manual data flow interventions between departments. The tool was unique for this customer and helped it ensure BOM consistency, reducing the number of reworks and increasing accuracy. They also used Teamcenter to centralize product information repositories to help the customer reduce the time searching for data by 30 percent.
