Building confidence and trust

Análisis y Simulación (AyS) is a part of Applied Tech Systems (ATS) Global with its headquarters in Spain. The group focuses on digitalizing industrial products and processes, provisioning advanced engineering services and specialized outsourcing and monitoring industrial applications. It also promotes, conducts and manages personalized and advanced technology implementation training.

AyS specializes in NX™ software, Teamcenter® software and Simcenter™ software, which are a part of the Siemens Xcelerator business platform of software, hardware and services. AyS has served in the automotive and transportation industry for over 20 years. It offers solutions across the entire industrial digitalization process with strategies that maximize productivity and profitability. Its team of experts help accelerate time-to-market while reducing costs with consulting, training and post-implementation support.

AyS leverages Simcenter to help customers visualize the physical behavior of a product as it relates to design loads. This analysis helps users predict the functional and structural behavior by using a digital twin before product manufacturing and testing. AyS is able to build confidence and trust with its customers by specializing in these technologies. This deep level of knowledge helps customers reduce costs in the design, production and validation stages.

Driving growth using digital twins

Eo6 Ingeniería is a company that performs advanced engineering services for the renewable energy industry. Eo6 was facing a growing need for finite element calculation, which prompted it to seek AyS’s expertise. AyS evaluated the workflows and software that Eo6 engineers use to find solutions for responding to customer requests. AyS encouraged Eo6 to use Simcenter™ 3D software to create digital twins of their products. This enabled Eo6 to perform the structural, fatigue and material calculations needed to expand their business, provide a broader range of services and rapidly bring solutions to its customers.

Offering innovative solutions in record time

Rotor Bike Components is a group of companies that specializes in parts design and manufacturing for medium and high-performance bicycles. It is considered a leader in the cycling industry for innovating its four main product lines – plates, potentiometers, crank sets and bottom brackets.

To remain competitive and win market share, Rotor Bike needed to address two challenges: siloed computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) platforms and complex high-performance design development. Rotor Bike contacted AyS for its CAD, CAM, computer-aided engineering (CAE) and NX expertise.

“We wanted to grow, but without the advanced technology that NX offered, we could not provide the innovation that would set us apart,” says José Luis Sanz, sales director at Rotor Bike. David Martínez, engineering department director at Rotor Bike states: “AyS gave us the proper training to use NX in a simple way.”

The synchronous NX modeling tools enable Rotor Bike to implement quick changes without a data structure tree. The NX CAE simulation capabilities optimize engineering work by reducing routine tasks by 15 percent. It also provides better connection with critical processes such as machining and quality, which increase productivity and decrease time-to-market. Rotor Bike is now innovating faster than ever.
