This brochure describes Siemens Sinumerik package services, which aim to ensure the safety and smooth operation of machine tools. After a comprehensive inspection, customers receive a detailed report on the machine's condition and a proposed action plan, which can be implemented immediately.
The systematic inspection includes four key steps:
External inspection: Experts identify potential future error sources before connecting to the machine, such as incorrect wiring, contamination near sensitive equipment or high temperatures detected by a thermal camera
Hardware inspection: The lifecycle status of the hardware is assessed to determine if it's an active product currently in production or an obsolete item in the Siemens portfolio. If obsolete, recommendations are provided for suitable replacements to ensure operational safety
Software review and service pack: For modern hardware that is still in production, the software information is summarized, including important version numbers, service packs and the latest available versions. Installing a service pack can often resolve long-standing issues and unlock new functionalities and cycles for the user
Data backup and training: The inspection includes an archive or ghost backup (if the machine has a PCU), which is provided to the customer on a USB drive or external storage. This ensures data safety for potential restoration. The package also includes a copy of the latest SinuTrain simulator for training, learning and programming purposes. Optional services include real machine adaptation and programming courses at Siemens' Budapest or Győr centers, or on-site as requested
