The Siemens Infrastructure Transition Monitor (ITM) 2025 is a global research report that examines how infrastructure systems are evolving to support the transition to net zero. Covering energy, buildings, and industry, it highlights where progress is accelerating, where barriers remain, and which actions leaders see as most urgent.

Based on a survey of 1,400 executives across 19 countries and 37 sectors, supported by expert interviews, the report provides evidence-based insights into how organizations are approaching electrification, digitalization, AI, resilience, and decarbonization.

The full report focuses on:

  • Energy: How the evolution of energy infrastructure - enabled by digital technologies - is driving progress toward a net zero future
  • Buildings: The progress, priorities, and issues in the decarbonization of buildings
  • Industry: The industrial sector's progress toward sustainability
