Calibre productivity and reliability enhancement solutions

Geschätzte Wiedergabezeit: {minutes} Minuten

Sara Khalaf, a product engineer in the Calibre Pattern Matching Group at Siemens, introduces solutions aimed at accelerating the design process, shifting some verification steps earlier in the design flow, and enhancing designer productivity.

The first tool discussed is the IP Checker—a push-button solution designed to validate the integrity of Intellectual Property (IP) within the layout. With no coding required from the designer, the IP Checker ensures that any modifications made to the IP during placement or routing are detected early, preserving functionality and performance. Targeted at all IP users, this solution offers reliability and productivity enhancements, particularly beneficial for third-party IP integration.

Next, Sara presents the Interactive Symmetry Check functionality, addressing the critical role of symmetry in analog designs. Traditionally, validating symmetry has been challenging and time-consuming, often relying on inaccurate manual measurements or parasitic extraction runs to compare resistance values. Leveraging the Calibre RealTime platform, Calibre now offers an interactive solution integrated into the design environment. With a simple click, designers can validate symmetry in real-time, enabling early issue detection and resolution before signoff.

These Pattern Matching tools are part of Calibre's Shift left initiative, empowering designers to identify and resolve issues earlier in the design flow, ultimately reducing time to signoff. To explore more solutions in the Calibre Shift left portfolio, explore the Siemens website.
