Priyank Jain, Group Product Manager at Siemens EDA, introduces Calibre Vision AI — a powerful new tool that accelerates chip integration debug using AI-assisted clustering and dynamic collaboration features.

In this video, Priyank Jain, Group Product Manager for Calibre Verification Systems at Siemens EDA, introduces Calibre Vision AI, a new solution designed to address the challenges of chip-level integration in early-stage design.

As integration increasingly begins before all blocks are finalized and DRC-clean, traditional verification approaches are becoming less efficient. Early full-chip DRC runs can generate extremely large violation datasets—often reaching billions or even trillions of results. Existing debug tools are not optimized to handle this scale, forcing engineers to rely on time-consuming manual methods that increase turnaround time and reduce productivity.

Calibre Vision AI addresses these issues by delivering a high-performance, AI-enabled debug environment that enables users to navigate, analyze, and resolve violations at scale.

Key capabilities include:

• High-speed loading and navigation of large DRC result sets

• AI-assisted clustering algorithms that group violations based on shared root causes

• Hierarchical analysis, including the ability to isolate and review violations within, outside, or at the interface of specific block instances

• Dynamic bookmarks and shareable result packages to support cross-team collaboration

• Seamless integration with existing layout viewers and place-and-route tools, enabling direct violation review and resolution within the design environment

With Calibre Vision AI, designers can improve accuracy, accelerate debug workflows, and reduce the time required to identify and address critical issues. By enabling earlier and more efficient chip-level analysis, the solution enhances design quality while supporting aggressive schedule and performance targets.
