Due to the significant reduction in usable bandwidth caused by via stubs in High-Speed Digital (HSD) transmission channels, it is crucial to identify this interference early and reliably during the design phase, especially as data rates and their signal bandwith increase. This study optimizes the parameters for mesh and fullwave solver as well as manufacturing tolerances with regards to their effect on the stub resonance and the simulation time. Finally, the optimized settings are applied in a simulation-to-measurement correlation.
